A fully-offline route planner — routing and the map
data for the downloaded region run entirely on your device, no account or
server. Pick a travel mode (🚗 🚲 🛞 🚶), build a route on the map, then
navigate, chart or save it.
Build a route
- Tap the map: start, finish, then keep tapping to extend.
Tap the Finish badge to stop taps extending; tap again to resume.
- Drag the route line to bend it. Added points are
shaping dots — they steer the route but aren't stops.
- Right-click / hold a dot → ⭐ Promote to waypoint: it
gets a number, a list entry, and an arrival cue in navigation.
The summary counts them apart: shapers · waypoints.
- Drag any point to move it — drop it on a 📍 place pin to
bind them (see Saved places).
- ⚠ Avoid fast roads — cap + strictness live in the Route
panel; the summary shows ✓ / ⚠ against your cap.
Saved places
- Save: right-click / hold the map → 📍 Save place here.
Start the name with an emoji to pick its pin (“🏠 Home”).
- Tap a pin for its menu — 🧭 route from my location,
direction start / finish here, or ➕ Add as waypoint to join
the current route as a named stop.
- Bind by drag: drop any stop onto a pin — it snaps on (the
pin pulses), takes the place's name, and a shaping dot auto-promotes.
Drag it off to unbind.
- The link is by location: reloads, saved routes, share links
and GPX imports recognise the place again — badges read
“2 🏠 Home”. The pin steps aside while it's on the route.
- ✎ Rename · ✥ Move (one drag) · 🗑 Delete from the pin menu.
The ⭐ sheet lists all places — tap one to fly to it.
Route colours & charts
- It all lives at the foot of the 🧭 Route sheet, under
▶ Navigate: the charts first — all on one 0 → total-distance
axis with numbered waypoint dots (and place emojis) marking the
stops — then Waypoint distances, then the picker for how the
route LINE is painted (solid blue, waypoint legs, a fixed-km split,
road type, surface, elevation or road speed). Hover anything for
details.
- Elevation — height profile with min / max and
↑ total climb · ↓ total descent. Uses free online elevation
tiles (needs internet); a GPX track's own elevation is used as-is.
- Waypoints & places — the route as legs between stops,
with an itinerary legend (“Start → 🏠 Home · 5.3 km”).
- Road type & surface — metres on each OSM
road class / surface, drawn in travel order. The map line uses the
same category colours. Black = no data — a way with no
highway / surface tag at all.
Navigate
- ▶ Navigate (Route panel) or the 🧭 map button starts
turn-by-turn guidance: a big card shows the next turn, its distance
and the road, and re-routes if you leave the line.
- Swipe the turn card up to shrink it to a one-line summary
bar (turn, distance, road, ETA still update live); pull the bar
back down — or tap it — to expand it again.
- SZ (map buttons) — smart zoom: eases in as you slow down,
out as you speed up (1–60 km/h), and pulls in ahead of each turn —
the sharper the turn, the closer the zoom. The button shows the
live zoom (amber = the turn is driving it, not your speed). Off =
your pinch zoom is kept as-is.
- Promoted waypoints announce their arrival — bound places
arrive by name (“🏠 Home”). Tap the button again to exit.
Hidden menus — right-click / press & hold
- On the map — start / finish here, insert a stop,
📍 save place here.
- On a point — promote / demote, 🌉 bridge a leg (force a
straight crossing), remove.
- On a 📍 pin (tap) — route feeds, rename, move, delete.
- 🧭 Route button — clears the whole route.
Buttons
- 🗺 Overlays — basemaps, cycle infrastructure, 👮 police,
⛰ terrain shading.
- ▦ Tiles — download / refresh / delete offline map data.
- ⚙️ Settings — theme, button size, EUC speed, waypoint
distances on badges, engine & storage info.
- ⭐ Saved routes & places — save / load / share + QR,
GPX in & out, 📌 auto-load one at startup, one-file backup
(routes and places).
- 🔒 Lock — freeze the route so map taps/drags can't change
it; shaping dots hide and undo / redo grey out while locked.
- 🧭 Route — route panel · hold/right-click to clear.
- ↶ ↷ Undo / redo route edits (Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Shift+Z).
- ⛶ Fit route — frame the whole route on screen (greyed out
until there's a route).
